Redundant

No idea why that title came to mind but it feels natural so I'm going to leave it even if it bears no relevance to what I'm going to say. Anyway, onwards and upwards, allons-y!

My mum has become incredibly frustrating lately. Muse was the start. The Wembley gig was on the 11th of September and I booked the tickets in the presale which was I believe October '09. She had TEN MONTHS to express her concern, "disappointment", annoyance and to tell me that she didn't want me to go. Ten whole months. Had I known earlier, I would have sold mine on ebay and sent the other ticket to the rightful owner with plenty of time. Chris would have seen Muse and I would be less angry, but only slightly. But no, you tell me that you don't want me to go to see Muse ON THE 10TH OF SEPTEMBER. The day before. Yeah, nice one. To top it all off, I could only claim for the postage of the tickets, so Chris and I are collectively out of about £110. By rights, I should get you to pay for that.
Your objections to me seeing Muse were ridiculous. You said that the jumping and shouting and yelling and cheering and singing along was like "worshipping" them. I asked you why you and abi seeing Dancing on Ice live was any different? After all, you do practically the same thing. You said I had a point and that you'd have to think about that seriously. Fine. End of, right? WRONGGG. You're thinking about seeing Dancing on Ice live again with Abi and Rachel. Nice one there, mum. Nice display of hypocrisy. Abi gets to see the thing she loves live but I don't. Abi gets encouraged in her recreational version of that thing (ice skating), I get told off for mine (playing bass).
I hate this, I totally feel like you're against me sometimes. I really do and I can't stand it any more. I'd love a little support for the things I love. Is that too much to ask?

Disconnected

My life has been a lot less... online lately. It's been weird. Moving into a new house is obviously going to bring a period of disconnection, phone and internet services must be transferred over to the new address etc. But it's taking longer than anticipated... Talk talk are slacking off in their duties as an internet service provider. However, it's not been as bad as I would have thought. I've been getting on better with work (although there will always be distractions to be found). But it's been surprisingly... enjoyable. I've been reading books that I've been meaning to read for months, watching movies that I haven't seen for ages, listening to albums all the way through instead of mixed in with other albums in playlists, chatting to friends on the phone instead of online. I've missed my girlfriend... It's been tough only being able to chat on the phone, not being able to skype and see her. That's been rough going...
But that's the only negative.
I honestly haven't missed the internet as much as I thought I would.
